Karen McDonalds has such a special place in my heart and this interview feels like a gift in many ways. I feel blessed to be able to reconnect with a good friend and pick the brain of such an authentic, talented and kind person. Karen always tells the truth in such a way that allows you to let your guard down and really get to the core of the matter. There is no small talk with Karen. I love that. Karen talks about her journey as an artist with an open heart; embracing her challenges and pushing forward to uncover more layers of her creativity. Karen is on an epic journey and I am so glad she has chosen to share it with the world!
In this episode, we cover why after working steadily for 10 years, she decided to get back to the being a student again and hopped on a plane to New York to train with Uta Hogan. We also talked about why she decided to “quit the business” in her 30’s and how she found her way back to performing again and why she starts every morning with a gratitude practice and how after all of these years as a performer she is excited by the fact she still get excited!

Wonderful podcast. Always wondered if Karen would pursue her dream. She was just a girl of 18 or 19 when I first saw her perform. She glowed. What a gift to be able to live your life doing what you love. The world would be a better place if we had more Karen McDonalds.
