I had such a great time with Singer/Actor, Jay Davis! Jay has just returned from a successful run of Colours In The Storm, where he portrayed the famous early 20th century Canadian Painter, Tom Thomson, at The Grand Theatre in London. Even though he had only been back in Toronto for a day and a half, and hadn’t even had a chance to unpack, I wouldn’t have known it. Jay was spirited, vulnerable and mindful with his responses and invites us in to take a peek, from his perspective, to see what it is like to live in the mind of an artist and relates what it can be like choosing to live in the uncertainties of a creative lifestyle.

In this episode, we discuss why actors need to learn to let go of each performance after it’s completed, what was on of his most embarrassing moment on stage, what skill he is continuing to work on, and how he believes if you get a lot of success at the beginning of your career it is even more important to take classes .
