The fierce and friendly Sharone Sayegh is joining us on Cue To Cue today! Sharone is part of the hit Musical The Band’s Visit on Broadway. She is opening up about what her experience has been in being part of an original Broadway Musical and the journey it has been getting there.

Sharone is sharing her challenges with typecasting and the narrow range of story-telling that exists in the entertainment industry. When people would ask what her dream role to play was, she would always have a difficult time answering because in her heart she knows she would never be cast in those roles and to explore the idea would be to denying a very integral and deep part of herself self.

Sharone, however, is very excited to see a recent shift in the industry that is welcoming a broader view of people’s experiences and interested in telling more diverse stories and is invigorated by all of the exciting work she sees around her.

In this episode:

  • how you have to look at auditioning is apart of a bigger process than we may realize
  • How The Band’s Visit powerful message has a timely message that will bring us together in these divisive times
  • Her personal journey being involved in an original Broadway cast vs. a replacement cast on Broadway
  • What she tells herself before performing to keep herself in a positive mindset.
